Spring Clouds

$175.00

Oil on Arches Oil Paper, archivally mounted on panel | 5×7 inches | 2026

On some days during spring the clouds start billowing up in that exuberant, springlike way. When you look out the window after a string of cold days and see those clouds, you know things are beginning to warm up. This was painted at a very open conservation area near me where you can see far away towards the horizon, which allows you to see the spatial layering of the further and nearer clouds. When you get those light rays spilling over the edges of the clouds, and the cloud textures around the edge, it makes for a fun day of painting.

This painting ships framed, as pictured, and ready to hang.
