I went out and painted this in the pouring rain, and I enjoyed seeing the subtle shifts of the reflections in the open expanse of water being pecked away by the rain drops and ripples. Painting in the rain always makes me more aware of how the blue distance becomes bluer and more distant seeming with the intervening sheets of rain. It’s funny how the same trees or the same mountain can feel either very close or impossibly distant based on the circumstances of weather and geography.
This painting ships framed and ready to hang. Please allow 1-2 weeks for proper drying, mounting, framing, and packing.
